Brno Moves Affordable Housing Forward. SYNER Is Involved in the Kamenný vrch II Project

As a member of the STRABAG + SYNER construction consortium for Kamenný vrch II, SYNER will participate in the implementation of the Kamenný vrch II cooperative housing project in Brno’s Nový Lískovec district. The ceremonial signing of the memorandum took place today at the New City Hall, attended by representatives of the City of Brno, the housing cooperative, the Brno–Nový Lískovec district, and representatives of the contractors. The document was signed on behalf of SYNER by managing directors JUDr. Robert Špott, MBA, and Ing. Luboš Váňa.

The Kamenný vrch II project represents one of the most significant steps taken by the City of Brno in the area of affordable housing in recent years. In an area adjacent to the existing development in Nový Lískovec, a new residential complex based on the principle of cooperative housing will be built. The project includes the construction of 24 new apartment buildings, public spaces, transportation and technical infrastructure, as well as other community amenities designed to create a fully-fledged urban neighborhood for future residents.

Several years of preparation preceded this project, which involved the City of Brno, the Brno Real Estate Company, the “Dostupné bydlení Kamenný vrch II” housing cooperative, and other partners. The goal is to offer a more affordable alternative to conventional developer-built housing and to expand housing options, particularly for young families and other population groups.

Today’s signing of the contract marks an important milestone, moving the project from the preparatory phase to the implementation phase. For the contractor consortium, this signifies the start of a long-term collaboration whose significance extends beyond the scope of ordinary residential construction. “We do not view Kamenný vrch II merely as another large-scale construction project. It is a project that addresses one of the greatest challenges facing cities today—the availability of quality housing. We are pleased that SYNER can participate in its implementation, thereby offering new housing to hundreds of Brno residents while contributing to the further development of this area. We greatly appreciate the trust placed in us by the investor and all project partners, and we will draw on our experience from previous projects to ensure the outcome lives up to the significance of the entire investment,” said JUDr. Robert Špott, MBA, managing director of SYNER.
